Abstract

After having recalled the 2024 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, assigned to Victor Ambros and Gary Ruvkun for their microRNA (miRNA) discovery, the present Editorial emphasizes the key role played by Caenorhabditis elegans in making all this possible, alongside three additional Nobel Prizes which were conferred from 2002 onward for the seminal work carried out on this tiny worm.
